I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember.
Growing up, I was surrounded by fabrics, patterns, and half-finished garments. My mother sewed and made clothes, and watching her create something beautiful from a simple piece of fabric sparked my fascination with personal style from an early age. It felt natural that I would eventually study fashion myself.
Somewhere along the way, I found myself drawn less to clothing and more to the details that complete a look. Accessories captivated me, and jewelry captivated me most of all.
Among my earliest memories is watching my grandmother get ready. She wasn’t someone who wore a large collection of jewelry. In fact, she wore the same pair of earrings every day and never took them off. They were small, gold, and shaped like stylized forget-me-nots. To anyone else they might have seemed simple, but to me they were unforgettable. They became part of her identity, as recognizable as her voice or the way she smiled.
I still have one of those earrings today.
Perhaps that’s why I’ve always believed jewelry is more than decoration. A piece can become a memory, a symbol, a source of confidence, or a quiet expression of who we are. Sometimes it speaks before we do.
